I realize how abnormal that is, but do not recognize myself in that description. Don’t know if that’s because you are wrong or if I misunderstood you or if I am wrong. Granted: everyone is no one. That’s basic sociology, but it doesn’t matter because No One cares. People are people, and all the progress we’ve made is all the more impressive because No One had to struggle for it. There’s no reason to assume that no one can be trusted or that every action has an ulterior motive. What makes you accuse me of
being cynicism? There doesn’t have to be anyone under those layers to make the layers good.
Layer… Foundation… Let me try something. The personae are not wrapped around the true self, hiding it. They are below the self, letting it rise. We are the layers1 of the foundation, and the layers2 of foundation are our support. It’s punny, but too confusing for me to get a good mental image, so never mind. Let me make sure I answer your questions though.

Of course not. I can’t separate reality from the food I eat either.

- “who were you originally? Who ARE you beneath the layers of what you want or pretend to be?”
While true, “I am I” is not an answer. Sorry. The real answer is “I don’t know.” We can try process of elimination to get there. I am not: “cynicism,” “skewed so far that [I] don't see humanity anymore,” “a persona, make believe,” or one who “see[s] nothing but ulterior motive upon ulterior motive.” But I do not see how it matters; if someone is bad deep inside but acts good, wouldn’t you say that is better than someone who is good deep inside but never shows it? Doesn’t seem like what’s inside matters as much.

- “There's no end, is there?”
The end is the scary part. We aren’t nothing yet, but we will be.

- “How can you trust what isn't real, what isn't there?”
Ask a priest. Regarding people specifically, I’d need a reason not to trust them. It doesn’t matter whether there is a real self surrounded by illusions or an illusion surrounded by a real self. It’s hard not to trust that no one is out to harm me.

- “To you, that's what everyone is, isn't it?”
This is why I said that I might have misunderstood you. As far as I can tell, you meant “to you, [You ARE cynicism...layers and layers of nothing.]’s what everyone is, isn’t it?” The answer to that is a strong “no!” If you didn’t mean cynicism, then it is a weaker “no;” the layers aren’t much, but they are.
Also, what's with this obsession with me? XP
